Ronda Rousey Signed A Huge Three-Film Deal With Lifetime In 2016

Not only that but Rousey was also well on her way to both fame and success, having appeared in films like 'The Expendables 3', 'Furious 7', 'Mile 22' and 'Charlie's Angels'. Ultimately, it seemed as though Rousey had a better time as a sports entertainer, joining Vince McMahon and the WWE. Rousey found some major success with the company, thriving in the new spot.

It would set her acting career back, along with another gruesome moment that took place on the set of '9-1-1' on FOX.

Ronda Rousey Underwent A Horrible Accident On 9-1-1

We're not quite sure if Hollywood soured on Ronda Rousey but in 2019, she was taking on film projects, completely switching focus and appearing as a regular on the hit series, '9-1-1' on FOX.

Although she was more than content in the role, things took a turn for the worst, when she suffered a horrible injury on-set, nearly losing her entire finger. She revealed the graphic details back in August of 2019.

"So the word is out I nearly lost my finger shooting. Freak accident, first take of the day a boat door fell on my hand, I thought I just jammed my fingers so I finished the take before looking (I know it sounds crazy, but I’m used to live audiences and never showing pain unless I’m supposed to) after a break in the action I told our director the situation and was rushed via ambulance to the hospital where they promptly reattached my bone and tendon with a plate and screws."

"I returned to filming the next day and finished my scenes before returning home to recover. Modern medicine amazes me, I already had 50% range of motion back in 3 days. There’s so much more than I can write here, stayed tuned via @rondarouseydotcom for the full story. And of course, tune in to see how well I can act like my finger didn’t just fall off in this upcoming season of @911onfox."

That's right, despite the terrible injury, she continued on, though, in truth, her career was never the same shortly after.

Ronda Rousey Is Currently Off The Map Enjoying The Family Life

Shortly after, Ronda Rousey basically went off the map. She stopped taking acting gigs and the former UFC star would also put her career as a sports entertainer on the backburner as well.

So why did she do this? Two reasons, one, she wanted to live a quiet life out on a ranch, away from the spotlight. In addition, it was a goal of hers to start a family, something she is currently enjoying.

it remains to be seen if she'll ever return to films, what we do know is that at the moment, she's doing her very best to empower others on motherhood, especially when it comes to breastfeeding.

"Our boys asked me the other day how I’m gonna feed Pō on the plane when we take her with us to Hawaii. And I was like “uhhh, same way I always do” 🤷🏼‍♀️Then it occurred to me that they probably never seen anyone breastfeed before and weren’t sure if it was appropriate in public."

"Motherhood’s some badass, primal, beautiful shit that shouldn’t be hidden.

It still blows my mind that my body assembled this little person, pushed her out, and now makes everything she needs to thrive It’s really nothing to be ashamed of, it’s something to brag about."

Good on Rousey for keeping things completely transparent.
